Only so belated I came to hear from Bob's decease. We met and worked together early in my career. He was among those people who by their whole personality gave me a role model that being a scientist in the first place means to live out humanism.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).
I remember when I was patrolling the town of Marquette and would find the door to cafe unlocked I'd call him and he'd come over and lock it. After several trips he tired of this and gave me a key and told me to stop calling and lock it myself. Lol. Sorry for your lose.
